The Sumac de Virginie or Sumac Vinaigrier, Rhus typhina in Latin, is a deciduous tree, part of the Anarcardiaceae family.
The leaves are composed of opposite glossy green leaflets, turning bright orange in autumn.
The flowers appear in summer carried in 15 cm high panicles.
The female plants then produce round, dark red fruits.
Beware, it can become invasive if your land is not maintained, as it often grows where other plants have trouble.
